Billman's TCT
#62
As for what he's done to it: Billman's TCT is proprietary but anyone can buy one and disassemble it and see what's different. I don't recall anyone posting any issues with it.

Its called gen X because there were other gens before it. Billman refined it over several generations, improvement after improvement. Yes, some of those early units eventually failed. And Billman figired out how to prevent them, which is where many of the refinements came from. He gave these users new, improved units, for free, thus honoring the warranty.
I don't believe anyone has had any issues with the current version. Maybe it would be useful to create a thread for how many trouble free miles do you have on your Billman gen X TCT? Would be interesting to see mileage record so far.

The Billman Gen-X TCT comes with special length bolts that must be used. The OEM TCT and bolts must be returned to him to (1) get your $100 core charge back and (2) validate you used his bolts, not the originals.

Shipping to and from the USA is expensive...

He needs your old TCT as it is a core that he rebuilds into his GEN-X unit. That is why he charges a core charge in the first place. Send him a PM and he will give you the details on the transaction.

I can occasionally ship International. Most international buyers did not return the core unit, so I am limited until they return, if they ever do.

I will ship the core back when replacing... won't need it anymore anyway...
