Billman TCT

Thanks everyone for the replys, i can now confidently say that it isn't anything to do with the TCT then. But that now leaves me a bit puzzled as to what it could be causing it.
On a side note, it didn't flicker this morning when starting from cold but I will keep a close eye on it.

The sensor wire is a single tiny wire. It goes to the oil sending unit, that has a grey cover over it.
Check the wire. Make sure it is not damaged, and make sure it is not pinched behind the TCT and grounding on the block.

I've just done some research and I know what you're talking about now, sorry for the confusion.
I have had a look at the wire and there is literally 2mm of exposed wire that couldn't ground on anything. The condition of the plastic cover looks fine to me as well.
I also started the engine a few times as well to see if it was still happening and it only flicked up after all of the lights on the dash went out for a split second. The 2nd and 3rd time I turned the engine on it didn't happen so it seems like it's struggling slightly when initially getting the oil pressure up to operating pressure.

I had a strange issue with the oil pressure light staying on for an extra second or 2 after warm startup, and I saw it flicker once or twice also. It turned out to be the oil filter, although I suppose it could technically be the oil but I believe it's highly unlikely. I was running an OEM filter and swapped it out for another fresh one (also OEM), changed the oil, and the issue disappeared. I don't drive the car too frequently (less than 1k a year), so I'm trying to only change the oil once a year. I had 10 months on the oil and filter and well less than 1k miles on it. I wouldn't think age by itself would cause this type of issue..but who knows. I'm keeping a close eye on it now, but it's been over 6 months with no issues thus far.
I would swap out the filter for another OEM unit and see if that alleviates the problem. Relatively cheap way to start troubleshooting.
