Well i dont think i drive any harsher then what its meant for. Dont get me wrong i like to get on it, but i never imagined something like this would happen to me. And yes its probally my fault i didnt play closer attention to the oil, but i also never got a oil light either. Not that it really matters much. I guess lesson learned and the bad part is i am moving to Las Vegas in 2 weeks, and i was supposed to be driving there with my wife, now i gotta spen 800 dollars to get the damn thing shipped, lol. I mean its been one thing after another. But i can say thanks for all the help ya'll have tried to do....I still love the S2k and the community, thanks guys...

do do you mean they are always driving around under 3k or what
Many years ago, with a 60s muscle car, a couple of the main bearings were going. If the engine was loaded up from down low (and not even enough to make the automatic downshift), it made this sound that mimicked pinging and knock. The whole time, it was the shaft rattling around in its bearing. The point I'm trying to make here is that once you start lugging on a regular basis, you just never know if it's a knock or a bearing going. Best not to do it at all. Pulling timing will only help so far.

Yeah i understand its really my error in the end, but i gotta suck it up and get a new shortblock more then likely. I am going to post in the Las Vegas forums where i am moving too and see if they know any good people there so i have them work on my car.

I just had my oil pump go and blew the whole motor... you may be thinking of me. I got lucky and got a fantastic deal on a brand new AP2 engine, not from Honda. They will take you for all you got.
Unlike you I had no warning of this happening. Like Mike said it could have possibly been prevented but then again maybe not. You'll never know. That sucks the worst

Maybe not, particularly if the oil pump failed. It's still a lot of shitty luck. My regrets to you.

Well if the oil pump failed wouldnt there be some sort of indication of leaking? Or does it just slosh(sp?) around when the pump goes bad..

No. The oil pump is a totally internal device. If it fails, it can fail because the seals are going or the pickup got plugged. You wouldn't see any evidence of oil on the outside because of a bad oil pump.
