small update i went to my local shop and got the CEL code its P1253
According to the sticky at the top:
P1253 VTEC System Malfunction
This can be associated with P1257 and P1259, both are the same description. The service manual gives a very complex and length set of checks and diagnostics. Like I said before, this is to do with the VTEC solenoid switch or VTEC pressure switch (valvetrain). A malfunction here "could" be creating all sorts of the problems you are experiencing. One of those switches may have gotten stuck in an odd position when the harness came loose (just guessing here).
The manual does suggest that the very first thing to do now that you know the code, is to reset the ECU and see if the problem persists. The next thing it says is to check the oil level. I would suggest that you check it again and check those 2 wiring harnesses. Reset ECU by pulling the "BACK UP" fuse under the dash for 1/2 a minute and put it back in (with ignition OFF). After that, it gets quite lengthy and you should take it to the shop if it's not resolved with these first 2 things. Something more serious has resulted.

ok well i checked out those things and everything seems to be OK, and reset the ECU. Pretty much i still have that noise, but now the check engine light is not on. /shrug

Forgot to mention, now it seems like it wants to stall after its been revved up, it'll dip to like 1k rpm then come back up.

Did you have it before, and just didn't notice it?

Then my advice is still the same, don't drive it and have it checked out ASAP.

Under certain conditions, revving the engine with the car just sitting there will cause this even in a perfectly normal car. It's not necessarily an indication of anything to do with your situation. Just don't rev it like that. You probably don't want to be revving it when something could be seriously wrong.
I still recommend a double check of the oil level. It's not always the easiest thing to read properly. Make sure you're not just seeing oil splash on the stick.
