I just did this about a week ago. So far absolutely no squeaks! This is such a good idea!

i forgot to post my results for the plasti dip earlier. this lasted for a little over a month or so before the plasti dip was worn down. i tried this on 2 sets of strikers, one new, one slightly worn. both gave the same results. summer heat also melted the plasti dip from the hook and striker together.

i have since put a small strip of paracord between the tip of the hook and the striker where it rubs. so far it's been close to a month with the paracord and no noise so far, except for bumps that seem to flex the chassis a bit (but the whole hardtop makes noise at that point).

Plasti-Dip is a brilliant solution. I'm ashamed I never thought of it...
