Its funny that even when its documented people still dont believe it. There many exhausts that make power for our car. There are also a few that rob power as well. From all that i have seen, the singles have made more power than the duals and they weigh less. Besides, nothing sounds like a open single outlet on an S.
Angled mufflers are not designed for look but rather for performance. Reducing the amount of bends in the mid pipe maintains better flow.

and the thing is, we dont' even have real dual exhausts. we really have a single piping with a y-shape outlet. i agree with JL9000, honda should've went with single.

I totally understand that the single is better for an engine without a V configuration, however trying to argue over the weight being a few pounds more with the dual is a bit ridiculous. I can eat more pounds of gummy bears than the single will save on weight over the dual outlet. Oh yeah I am still waiting for a pic of Big Negative Ben's car.

I believe, save for a full titanium dual exhaust, I have the lightest dual setup of any owner here...a twin Supertrapp setup. Total weight is around 22-lbs...and trust me, the performance increase isn't solely the result of weight loss.
Also, as was stated earlier, an angled muffler is functional in most cases, especially with the S2000. In order for the muffler to exit in line with the cutout (as OEM designed), at some point aft of the Y-connection, there will be a fairly significant bend. Look at any aftermarket dual and you'll see it. I created a single Supertrapp system that eliminated that bend but the damn thing was too freakin' loud. Mad horsepower though. Great for the track if no db limitations are present.
Expect 4-5hp with any decently designed aftermarket S2000 exhaust.
