Awesome! Thanks for all the advice everyone. Yea i have to be a little easier when releasing the clutch, because the jerkness is definitely not good for the car

I changed my last clutch at 80k miles including track mileage. Yes, it's definitely not a long life, but all my engine, tranny and diffy are all happy. my track instructor told me to control the drivetrain shock by letting clutch slip (since 100% perfect rev matching is very hard) anyways you are driving fine

80,000 miles on a clutch! Thats an awesome amount of time. If that's the case my clutch should last me years because Im only going to put about 500-700 mi on this car a year

Are you frigging kidding me!

Have fun mastering toe-n-heal in the s2k. IMHO, speaking from a 7/10ths street driving perspective, it (ie, being smooth) is more important than going fast. As it might save your life without your knowing (perhaps otherwise you'd have go past 10/10ths?). Without the technique you have to let the car coast (compression braking is coasting here) for some small period before a corner in order to shift. Then brake. Then turn. With toe-n-heal you go from being on the throttle to immediately braking (and shifting).

Word of advice if I may. Only brake in a straight line. As you don't own a race car that is setup for trail braking. And, if you find out you overcooked a corner entry, use the "Sterling Moss Emergency Method" (if I remember the phrase right). Basically, since braking is easy and acceleration hard to come by, you just keep on braking in a straight line (forgetting about the apex) until you run out of road and turn sharply at the last second at which point you should be going slow enough to make such.
