I have to disagree here. You should not use synthetic until the engine is fully broken-in. This will happen at about 10k miles. Until then, use a good dyno oil like Castrol, Vavoline, Mobil Drive Clean, etc.

Did I just fly back in to 1960 or what? Castrol, Vavoline. Run what ever you want. Redline and Mobil 1 are the two best.

There is not one (or two ) oils that are "the best". As they are all different and can do different things for you. But what sheister says is that you should not use a full synthetic until you are all they way broken in. My first oil change was to a Castrol Syntec blend. Then after that I started using Castrol Syntec (full synthetic), and have not switched since. I have used this same oil on many cars and have always liked it

As for the 1960 thing.... That is just like saying that because it has been around forever that you shouldn't use it. Somehow that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.....

i prefer castrol GTX, there was a test showing that catrol oil has almost identicle properties as the special honda breakin oil found in brand new s2k's. i know someone can find the article.
