Best Transmission Fluid
I'm going to change the stock transmission fluid, which is the best oil I can get that could help to solve the 1-2/2-3 grind problem?
Thanks,

I don't know if it will stop the grinding, my 01 VGS gearbox does not have such problems in the first place. However after I changed my transmission fluid to "Castrol Syntrans 75W85" if I can recap ... 1 and 3/4 litres the gearbox shifts better than ever. Thanks to Naishou for this one, I'm basically a full Castrol supporter.

Sorry guys I used the word "grind" instead of the word "notch" (it's my english teacher fault ), I know that the grind will not change, also because I had that problem only few times, but I mean some oil that could help to solve the notching.

Like Takashi I found the Castrol Syntrans smoothed out my gearshift quite significantly. This is compared with new Honda fluid, not old stuff. It's still not perfect though.

Just because an oil lubricates better doesn't mean you woudl want it in your tranny. An oil that lubricates too good will prevent the syncros from doing their job as they will be unable to get a quick and good grip on the gears, you will have premature wear on your gears.
Stick to what Honda reccomends in this case.
