All test pipes are a pipe. Nothing special about them. No need to spend over $100 to get one or even with the infamous "CEL fix" gimmick. Just get 1 long anti fouler or 2 short ones and put them between and ur done.

Advantage of these?? Dyno gains? Is it much louder? Was thinking about getting one since I have the HKS exhaust... but our emissions is strict... I have ben pulled over and the cop or MTO inspector will look under ure car for the cat on the side of the road!

The best test pipe is the one with the same diameter as the collector and catback. I like my T1R test pipe because it is a resonator and looks like a cat.
A test piple in terms of quality is pretty uniform, it's a piece of metal with a claimed diameter. However unless your goal isn't performance you shouldn't have a collector that's as large as your exhaust....
The TP should be Equal to or larger than the collectors, and/or equal to or smaller than the exhaust.
If you have a 63.5mm collector, and a 3" exhaust your TP would make most sense at 3". However it can be anywhere inbetween
