Best Fuel Injector Cleaner?
#51
I had some bad fuel in my S2000 when I bought it, and I finally pulled the injectors (a lot less work than I thought) and sent them to Fuel Injector Specialists in Denver, CO which was within an hour of me. He charged $20/injector and replaced seals, o-rings, and filters.
If you're in the Denver area and want something local, I definitely recommend that guy (goes by Chuck).

Everyone should spend their money as they wish when it comes to maintenance of their S2000's , but many S2000 owners have had misfire issues resulting from injectors. Coilpacks and injectors are the two main culprits when it comes to misfires on S2000's. I had my S2000 injectors cleaned by a fuel injection shop I have locally in my town, and the spray pattern was poor on most of them. We cleaned them up and reinstalled them in the car and never had misfire issues after that , I started using Redline fuel injector cleaner after that as a maintenance dose, and never had an issue in 10 years after that. The best fuel cleaning products use PEA, Redline, Techron, BG, even Shell V-power and other high end fuels. I think it is cheap maintenance, one bottle of my preferred cleaner treated two tanks and I used one bottle a year, cheap in my books.
If fuel system maintenance with products like we have discussed here was done ever so often from back in the day, I doubt any S2000 owner would have misfires caused by injection issues.

A mechanic friend of mine swears by a product called K-100. I haven't tried it yet, but I am going to.
