best clutch?

Don't go with Exedy. After 38,000 miles on the stock clutch I switch to the pricey Exedy clutch ... 1,200 miles later the Exedy failed. Excedy was properly broken in.

Act clutch
Latest rev Honda disk
Comptech lightweight flywheel.
Stiffer, quicker engagement, little slipping when you don't want it, nicer throttle response for rev matching....

i agree, ACT PP and newest ver. of stock disk and a light flywheel is a good combo.
i just installed a prototype ACT clutch in my car and have tested on street and track. it makes the "noise", initially bad, but now mild after break-in but my car is essentially only a track car, so i'm not bummed. but it otherwise is great and it seems to be well suited for my S/C car with 2.0 way clutch type diff and race tires, it's slippable and perfectly streetable but is grippier and time between shifts reduced. the diff is really not streetable. i have given ACT feedback including the noise issue and told them that is unacceptable for street driven customers. it is built from a exedy sourced plate with viper friction material, non puck, oem style with springs but with thinner marcel(cushion backing).
i don't know if they plan on marketing it. however, i have comptech flywheel . if anyone with a stock flywheel wants to be a guinea pig, they would like to test it in another car as it may not make noise when interacting with heavier flywheel.

Really? Wow I'm gettin a lot of ACT recommendation that I'd expected. I was actually looking at the Clutchmaster stage IV clutch kit. 170% more grip or somethin like that. Anyone have the clutch and would like to suggest something about it?

I was under the impression that our S's rear ends would not be able to handle such a grippy clutch. I thought it needed a bit of slipping so that it wouldn't blow.
By the way , now that I have updated the clutch, what will be most likley to break, the final drive gear or the differential?
I am about to have the 4.44's installed.
