my belt tensioner just started rattling at idle. anybody else? and what they did?

i really dont want to take it to the dealership and have them find my vortech charger just yet.

it sounds like mine is starting to rattle as well but i have ricks2k pulleys so im afraid they;ll blame it on them

actually i found out what it was

I had a hydro pulley installed for the water pump and it was cracking until it finally cracked totally and I had to take it off. The rattling was because the belt was shaking unsteadily. so i would check your pulleys to make sure they are intact

are u suggesting that i should reinstall my pulleys??

no just simply make sure that the pulleys arent cracked or split and make sure they are tight and are spinning completly round. And then you can check your tensioner.
