TO bearing and pilot bearing question
Long story short, let a friend drive my car to celebrate him losing 140lbs, which didnt help his driving skills and my clutch was toast after only 15k miles. I got a new flywheel clutch which I plan on replacing this weekend. The question is, do you think its completely mandatory that I replace the throw out bearing and pilot bearing, or should I be ok with using the old one?

If you have the car apart already might as well do it all with new OEM bearings.
If your buddy burnt out the clutch like that he may also have worn out or started to wear out the bearings. IMO id replace them just to be safe..

What are the miles on the car? If you are over 60k I would replace the bearings as well as the rear main seal. The old bearing should be good for 100k but the new clutch will still be in good past that.

You're using active voice: "I replace". If you mean it, I wouldn't replace the bearings at 15k miles. Worst case scenario is that you have to take a weekend and do the work over again prematurely. I did this job because of that damnable "clutch buzz" at about 35k miles; I replaced only the disk and that was the right choice for me.
If you mean "I'll pay someone else to replace it for me" they shouldn't give you a choice because if the bearings you didn't replace fail prematurely you'll expect them to do the labor again for free.
