Based on the pics of my clutch, can anyone make
I just had my clutch replaced with an ACT PP, street disc (made by Exedy), and a Toda flywheel. I'm sc'd with just over 300whp. However, I still have the clutch delay valve. My car has been supercharged since 6000 miles, and I currently have 23000 miles (~17000 miles sc'd). I routinely drive my car hard, shifting at high rpms (i.e., redline), however, don't really do high rpm launches.
I'm debating whether to remove the cdv, since the clutch has a higher clamping force and would put more stress on the rear. But, since I don't really do hard launches, I'm not sure if that is something I should worry about.
The second issue is whether retaining the cdv will cause similar wear on my clutch? Will the ACT PP allow for less slippage, hence less wear? The clutch began slipping more and more at high rpm shifts, and that was the reason I changed it out.
Anyhow, any comments on the pattern of wear on the clutch disc would be greatly appreciated! Doesn't look like there is a lot of material left on the lining.
