Banjo Bolts: Anyone have them replaced at the dealer (US)?

Is there a european TSB out for this? Will my dealer know what I am talking about when i take it in?

interesting pictures.

It's hard to say on the hole position, since they could have changed the inside structure as well - like the shape and postion of ball seat. But it certainly makes you think there is something different about the valve design. Also the higher bolt head could allow longer travel for the check valve spring. (Or it could be for easier installation)

Did you happen to measure the new bolts for the specs given in the manual for the old ones? (inlet size, ball travel, opening pressure.)

In the pictures, the 2 hole holes look larger than the 4 hole holes. In fact they look so much bigger that the total area of the 2 holes could be greater than the area of the four holes. Did you measure?

Perhaps it is the placement of the holes affecting flow. When I did mine I noticed they are positioned differently, and there is more than one caution about using the proper torque.

As soon as I can I will section the old and new bolts and put all the questions to rest as to what's going on inside the bolt.
