Dude, did you not read? Google "ball joint lifter" and you'll see it's available online from various sources ($12-$40). Interestingly, they all seem to feature the exact same tool at those different prices.

I'm sure the Honda tool is a precision instrument, and I know this tool I pictured is just a cheap cast hack job. But it's worked for me, and it's a lot cheaper than $150 -- even if the Honda special tool was available.
In my experience, most Honda special tools arent really available for retail even though they may be theoretically able to be ordered.

from what i am reading....gomarlins3 used the "pickle fork" and managed. if they both work why can you not use it?
the tie-rod looks like my del sol tie rod just upside down.

Pickle forks will more than likely tear the rubber boot...which then means replacing the entire joint.
The tool pictured works well...only thing is that sometimes you still need to hit the ball joint on the side with a hammer while the tool applies pressure.
