Bad water leak from thermo housing

So I done an engine swap after a bad overheating caused by a hole in the water pump. I put everything back together and started it up and noticed I had a water leak coming from the thermo housing.
I pulled it apart and replaced the old gasket to find it wasn't the problem, and once again apart to see if some sealant would do anything. Nope.
I wanted to know if any body has had this problem and what was causing it? Can these cast alloy housings warp under extreme heat? That's what I've put it down to. Hope someone can help before I go but a new housing to find that's not the problem either....

Head has just been fully serviced and half rebuilt. I hope it's alright too lol. It has to be that housing. But saying that, it wasn't leaking like that after the overheat and before the motor swap :/

I swapped the suspected warpped housing with another pre owned one and the leak still remains. Some how I managed to get far enough under the car to get a good look and noticed the coolant was coming between the block and the sump from the water jacket behind left side engine mount. Hoping it'll be an easy fix and not yet another head ache. Any body had this problem before?
