It sounds pretty bad.
It may sound worse too.

I guess like all worn roller bearings: rumble & grumble.
And you would feel it in the pedal.

It also makes the noise only when the clutch pedal is depressed.
Does it sound like an accessory belt that needs to be replaced and is squeeling?

No it growls sort of like a shitty shopping cart but deeper pitched.

My clutch started making noise before my second autocross run on Sunday. It was fine the first run but, as I was pulling up to the line for my second run, a loud squeeling started when I pushed the pedal in. The pedal also got stiff in the lower half of travel. I pushed in the clutch several more times and it the noise continued, so I parked it. It did not loose any fluid. As I drove away after the event, the squeeling and stiff pedal stopped after a couple of minutes of driving. The squeeling has not returned but, the clutch squeeks when I push the pedal in. I assumed that my throwout bearing is going bad. Could it be something else?

I had had the same symptoms. My issue was that the grease at the tip of the metal rod that sits between the clutch slave cylinder and the clutch release fork had gone dry. I followed this DIY and it fixed the issue. Now my clutch pedal action is smoother than ever.

I will give this a try this weekend. Thanks.
