It may sound worse too.
I guess like all worn roller bearings: rumble & grumble.
And you would feel it in the pedal.

My clutch started making noise before my second autocross run on Sunday. It was fine the first run but, as I was pulling up to the line for my second run, a loud squeeling started when I pushed the pedal in. The pedal also got stiff in the lower half of travel. I pushed in the clutch several more times and it the noise continued, so I parked it. It did not loose any fluid. As I drove away after the event, the squeeling and stiff pedal stopped after a couple of minutes of driving. The squeeling has not returned but, the clutch squeeks when I push the pedal in. I assumed that my throwout bearing is going bad. Could it be something else?
