Default Is it bad to raise your gas pedal?

I heard u get more of a better acceleration if u adjust the throttle cable to raise the gas pedal up a little bit. But can this cause anything bad to eventually happen? It seems my gas pedal is too low to the ground.

The only way I see you getting better acceleration is if the cable is loose for some reason and needs to be tightened thus allowing you to open the throttle body valve to its full capacity. Other than that, you picked up some BS from somewhere.

On the same topic, how much do aftermarket throttle bodies really help. On my old car that was one of my favorite mods.

Taking the slack out of the throttle body is ok but cranking it down enough to raise your gas pedal is probably not a good idea.

Larger throttle bodies are not as good on this car as others unless you port match the manifold. (I have never tried one though, I was refrencing what others have said)

On my last car (B-Series motor) the larger TB and IM was a great mod!

I had a focus ZX3, we ported the manifold to match the T/B. I also installed new pulley's at that time too. But the response was amazing. I didn't know if it could get any better since the S2000's stock response is great.

There is a 12mm nut attached to the intake manifold near the throttle body. Loosen the one closest to the TB, make necessary adjustments to both nuts, and retighten.

so when u tightened urs, did it make the gas pedal rise a little bit or lower more to the floor after u did it? I heard it may lower it, when we actually want it more on the high side and not too low, is this true?
