Hey guys i was driving today and my check engine light came on, so i took it over to advance auto to get the code read. It came up as a bad 02 sensor in bank 1 upstream, so im assuming the o2 sensor in the header is bad correct? I tried searching but i keep reading different things. Someone said that when i install my new o2 sensor i need to take the car to Honda and get the ecu updated or reflashed. I dont know about this. I have a 2003 with an aftermarket header and test pipe. But I have a o2 bung in the test pipe. So what do i need to do?? The car is driving normal, the only thing ive noticed withe the car is i will sometimes see a little smoke come out of the exhaust when at a redlight or something, but besides that nothing. Any help is appreciated guys, thanks!!

$350 from the dealer...found mine for $200. Then again mine was secondary on the catalytic converter...which was the reason for the bad O2 sensor. The comb came loose and ripped off the tip of the sensor. Awesome design Honda!

Test pipe fixed that problem. I hear you can buy a generic 02 sensor for $50.

Thanks for that link. I had the same code when I put on my test pipe and then it randomly went away so I am not going to worry about it until it comes back.
