you can easily attribute 25% less fuel economy to winter temps and winter fuel. It takes longer for the engine to warm up, colder air temps reduce fuel economy and winter fuel makes it even worse. The combination is worth at least 25%, so you aren't too far off, sounds pretty normal to me.

Expect cold idles to kill your MPG.

Hmm that must be it. Definitely let it idle for a while to warm up.

1)Don't warm up the car at idle. Drive it and take it easy.

2)Although unlikely, check for a leaky or improperly seated injector.

dang and i enjoyed using autostart on my car too...i guess i'll stop using it. what i find harder to believe is how you used to get "mid 20's" especially w/ a sc..unless you're doing like 80% hwy...but yea 16 does sound terrible. that's like 90% local stop and go traffic.

It's easy to get mid 20's with OEM AP1, if you drive like a mature person. I usually get 26mpg and that's with some VTEC fun.

Don't use any extra gas unless going wot or close to wot. If I am flooring it everywhere will get a bit worse but regular daily driving mileage should be close to the same as stock.
