What are the symptoms of a weak alternator?

I'm experiencing some problems like
1 - blinking dashboard
2 - When I try to start the engine, it does so slowly as if the battery is weak though I tested it and it was fine, with the car on and off. (Voltage)
3 - Sometimes lack of response when it's idle, as if the engine is about to turn then when I push the throttle much more the problem go away.

Are these all alternator problem?

A guy mentioned that he changed the alternator to solve the dash board blinking issue.

i have had bad alternator. caused overcharge battery. it will shut EPS down.

Could be a bad connection at one of your battery cables. Check the tightness of all the battery cable connections. Check both ends of the cable.

yeah, make sure they're free of corrosion. Had the same issue with my si and that was the problem..

I believe an auto parts store can test it for you

for the blinking dash issue it is the rectifier in the alternator. go to autozone and have them test the alternator....more than likely you will have a bad diode which causes it..since you cant order single diodes you will need to buy the WHOLE assembly... i ordered one from majestichonda for around $150 i think and took my alternator out and replaced it. took 2 hrs and i had my factory service manual....the worst part is removing those bolts that hold the alternator... after that the blinking issue went away...

the part you need to buy is Part number 8 rectifier assembly...

ive been having the same problems with my start up. The car would start very weak is if it was struggling, so if you figured out the problem it would be great to get some insight.

Mine was doing that. Mine turned out to be a weak battery. check that first, check the alternator after.
