I had a little incident while autocrossing this weekend and now my alignment is out of wack. I'm really concerned about the left rear tire, it seems to have a few degrees toe-in. I drove the car to work today b/c I have an appointment in the afternoon to re-align the car, however, it seems like the tire is sliding out a bit from the wheel, do you think its safe to drive on this afternoon?

Was sorry to see what happened to your car this weekend at Summit Point...I would like to lend some advice, but I am a little confused about your problem.

"it seems like the tire is sliding out a bit from the wheel"

What do you mean by this? Is the tire still holding air? If not, DO NOT drive on it. If the tire is still holding air, then I am missing something as the the tire should not move on the wheel.

Good luck with the alignment. I would make sure no suspension parts are bent while I was under the car.

autoxEX,

If at all possible...just keep from driving the car and get an alignment soon.

You are wearing out your tire...you know...

I was trying to go through a slalom at the autocross at Summit point, but the last 2 gates were smaller than the first 2. I knew this coming in, but still came in too hot, so i braked and spun off the road and into this huge mud pile. got the alignment done sorta yesterday....need a new control arm in the rear driver's side.
