Default Back Panel Screws OEM Hardtop Install

So I am trying to remove the back panels behind the seats for an OEM hardtop install. But one of the screws completely stripped out. Any advice on how to get it out of there?

If memory serves me correct it is also a 7mm or 8mm hex head on the outside and phlips on the inside

If you mean that the threaded portion just spins without coming out, you'll just have to cut the plastic hanger away completely, cut the head off the bolt, pop the panel out, then try turning the shank while pushing or pulling with a pair of locking pliers.

the screwdriver just spins, if I could actually spin the head it would come out. i bought a drill bit to drill through it.

oh my god.

It's an 8mm socket. Get a socket and it will come out. Drilling it out is completely over kill.
