Im taking my car to a lexus dealership(dad works there) to have them check out the wheel bearing and hub. Im having similar noises coming from the right rear. Not sure if its the axle bolt or the wheel bearing. But just in case ordered it.. If not ill return them. But the noise for me has gotten worse as if some metal piece is lose. Also felt my car start to shake a bit but not too much. I took off the tire today in the morning to see if i saw anything loose but everything seemed ok.

Swapping wheels is no big deal for a quick test. In most cases, the tire direction is only important in the rain.

see if you can wobble the tire around after you jack the rear end up.

it doesn't wobble but the noise it driving me mad!! I'm gonna try and loosen and re-torque the axle nut. I'll check for bearing wear at the same time and see how it goes. I know I saw billman post a few good posts so it's time to hit the searches... thanks guys!

the sound is only when there is a load on the wheel. I jacked it up yesterday and no sound. Also like I mentioned before, if I take left turn, causing the weight to shift to the passenger side, the noise goes away...

Just curious, but are you on stock tires? Stock widths?
