I have this weird squeeking/rubbing sound on my driver rear. I can't quite figure it out. It's relative to wheel speed but yet not at the same speed as the wheel is spinning. (Does that make sense?) And, the noice gets louder when there's load on that side. For example, if I am taking a right turn, it gets louder since the weight shifts to that side of the car. Turn to the left, it goes away. I'm thinking maybe my wheel bearing is gone? It used make the squeeky/rubbing noise when the car was really cold. (I.E. if it was sitting in the sun all day, it wouldn't make that noise.) Anyway, sorry for the rambling. Someone help!!

Swap rear wheels. I doubt this will do anything but you never know.

I'd be careful when doing that, most all tires that go on this car are directional, meaning DO NOT put swap the wheels on either side.

Down at the Dragon I spent a little while swapping the wheels of a nice lady's S after she drove from Toronto where her mechanic mounted them on the wrong sides.

Not a safe thing to do.

I'd say it could be the wheel bearing, or perhaps seized rear brake? Just a wild guess though...

If it is not raining it has no difference on traction. All directional tires do is channel water.

It might be something in your rear suspension thats binding. Get a spray can of wd -40 and spray down the side thats squeeking.

rotational scraping/rubbing....DEFINITELY start with the axle nuts. seen it too many times to count.
