I couldn't tell you for sure Jeff, but I'm thinking there's got to be one far closer. There are about 100 or more S2000's that make it out to Mid-Ohio Race Course for the IndyCar race every year. How about posting in your local forum? I'm sure somebody will pipe up. The S2000 isn't an exotic car by any means, but it has a lot of idiosyncrasies that specialists know and will be able to figure out immediately.

Hi there. You mention "s-2000 specialist shops" . Is there one here in San Diego? I need the axle swap done for the vibration on accelleration problem but am also looking into other options. Non Honda axle shafts are 1/4th the price of Official Honda ones and There's a C/V to U-joiint conversion that I'm seeing on line as well. Anyone done that? Would that be a possibility or a really bad idea? Anyone? Finally I havent seen a review of the swap procedure for several years. Is there a better photo series or video available to help me with the DIY ?

So I just realized that my Wife's RDX has this exact issue and in research on acurazine, there are a LOT of threads about this problem on various models. One thread has a dissected axle and it shows the same cup wear. There is no place to bolt a spacer unfortunately. I wonder how you could get more life out of those. The aftermarket options for the RDX seem to be zero. The axles are different lengths so the cups are not interchangeable. There is a market for cups in the Acura Community somebody should tap into.

So if the vibration is only under acceleration, and then you swap your CV cups, will you then notice the same vibration on deceleration?
No.
you would probably get it on reverse, or if coasting downhill and the wheels are trying to accelerate relative to the engine.

Sure amsoil would work. I can speak for the redline, I used it for 80k miles and the cups came out with no pitting whatsoever.

Can you just buy new buckets and call it a day vs. buying new axles?

I attempted this project a few moths ago after 2 years of dealing with the vibration. Its not hard to do guys, as long as you have some basic tools. Feels like a new car now. For any one wondering, just go with the CV-2 Red line grease, I got it off of JEGS website for pretty cheap. ill post pics and tips later.
