my biggest concern on this is the alignment...

can anyone confirm 100% that this does/does not affect it?

If you pop the lower ball joint only, it will not affect the alignment at all.

Do you have to remove the entire axle? I want to swap CV cups soon but, want to check up and see if the swap is possible without removing the entire axle.

Is it possible to do this with out removing entire axle by: remove the 6 inboard joint mounting bolts, disconnect ABS sensor, and pop the ball joint OR the 2 bolts from upper control arm?

I don't have any symptoms of shaking but just want to do this while I install my coilovers.

I just finished the cup (inner joint) swap tonight. Car rides amazing!!!

Yes you can do this with out removing the axle. Undo the (6) 14mm nuts on the inner joint, remove the (2) 17mm that hold the upper A arm, this will allow you enough room to pull the inner joint out of diff and work on the swap without removing the axle.

Even though I have air tools, I was able to do this swap with hand tools. It took about 5 hours including two trips to the auto parts store to buy axle grease, boot straps, and 1 trip to burger king.

You will not need to realign the car if following the steps above.

Im clear on the removal , but do you need a special tool to reinstall the ball joint? or you just hammer it in there with a rubber mallet?

Just bought the T1r 2 piece spacers, cant wait to get them on.

Ps. for those who are dealing with the same issue: CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE IN THE REAR WHEELS, IF YOU'RE TOO LOW THEN YOU WILL GET A MORE PRONOUNCED SHAKE, ALSO A SLIGHT PULL LEFT OR RIGHT IN YOUR ALIGNMENT TOO; WHICH MAY MAKE YOU THINK THATS OFF AS WELL.

Tire pressure is critical, I was on 20psi on my right rear, and I was shaking like crazy, now Im rolling almost 90-95% smooth again for 75 cents.

I just noticed the vibration under acceleration a few days ago. Sounds like I have to do this too. From what I've read so far, I'm going to try to do this without doing a complete dis-assembly.

What are the minimum tools I need to do this? Will I need a long extension to take off the 6 bolts?

any secrets to removing the 6 inboard joint mounting bolts on the passenger side? they are pretty stuck on there and i don't have any room for a direct shot with a impact gun.
