I would recommend:
Heat up the Axialflow shifter till it melts into a pool of metal.
Then re-install the stock shifter. That thing is the worst product I've ever put in an s2k, aside from the Omni qiik master cyl.
But if you really want to, as stated, soak it in hot water for a few minutes.

At first, I thought the guy was getting a phone call on his rotary telephone. I then realized it was the shifter ringing It literally sounds like the trans is coming apart, even after attempting to damp it with rubber collars and stuff.
spend the money and get yourself a C's shifter

I have a countersunk knob... I already rest my elbow while shifting. If the shifter was any lower, I don't know what sort of crooked angle I'd have to reach for it from...

very rare, and if you find one you'll pay around 300 for it. Also need to have it cut and re welded since its a jdm item only, made for right hand drive cars

the axial flow is probably one of the best mods i did. it took some R&D to get rid of the buzzing, but i must say all mine is completley gone and all it involved was a 1/4" thick piece of rubber sandwiched.... well here i have a pic i made :
my competiton clutch makes more buzz now than anything
besides, you have to expect some noise with a billet type shifter. i'd say your strut bar and rear tie bars are much more of a waste of money than an axialflow shifter.
