what the hell? this is the first on hearing about oil burning!

i've had this bad boy for 2 years now...are you guys simply checking dip-stick to check the oil levels? sorry...but i'm complete newb on this topic. never really added oil.

i change myself using 10/30 on average 2500-3000 miles using Mobil1 Synthetic.

do our cars really burn oil that much? i saw my friend dump some into his WRX at the gas station, but i figured "eh..its turbo. who knows"

and yes, i drive fairly hard on the car

The Honda dealership I took my car to used Quaker State. When I came back from the supermeet I was halfway done. The I immediately switched to Mobil 1 fully synthetic and my oil level has never changed under any driving situation

You do need to check the oil every time you stop for gas. Some of the cars use oil regularly, and some will only use it irregularly. The latter makes it even more important to keep an eye on the level.

It only takes a minute to check the oil level while you're putting gas in the car, and it can save you grief, so just do it.

Some yes, some no. You should check your oil regularly no matter what kind of car you drive.

I have the AP1.

This car does have varying oil consumption characteristics.

I think this car does better on the highway than city for oil consumption. I dunno...
