This has been posted before and declared Bullsh1t. The abnormally low stock figures they quote give it away.

Whats funny is he's dynoing out at the BOTTOM END of what most of us here dyno at STOCK (his final numbers were 195hp).

Either his dyno was wack, his car was screwed up, or he faked the numbers so he didn't feel like such an idiot for spending all that money for the big ZERO gain.

and yet AGAIN I say don't comment without looking at everything.

THOSE WERE DONE ON A DYNO DYNAMICS - as an endyn dyno cf a roller dyno (ie dyno jet) - IT WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU A LOWER HP READING.

sigh - for the 5th time

Yeah they spin backwards in Australia.

Regardless the article is full of bull everywhere you look and contradicts things that people on this board have spent a lot of effort finding out.

The stock exhaust is not that restrictive and HP gains (small but repeatable) have been made with replacement filters.

And how do you show on a dyno the improvement of a cold air induction hose into the airbox? A big fan that blows at 60 MPH?

Not to mention the "stock" baseline was done on a different car.

And has ANYONE here seen that big a gain with just changing the exhaust from the cat back?

I say it is just a bogus puff piece with fudged numbers.

It makes for an interesting read but the comments made regarding "ditching" the stock exhaust are stupid. They should have done their research because those kind of #'s for a stock exhaust changeover make no sense at all, even for the most casual enthusiast. Didn't anyone stop and consider,"hey, this is weird...maybe we ought to go to some web sites and see what others might be getting before publishing this kind of increase."
