Hi, I just have a thought.
If I don't cut the L-shape tube and the plastic piece, the air from the snorkel will directly go to the middle chamber. Isn't this going to create higher pressure and air will flow faster into the engine? (sort of like Mugen CAI) Or it is better to remove these plastic pieces to have more room for the air? (similar to J's and ASM)
Thanks.

The snorkle goes to the left of the divider, not where the filter is.

You can see from what I did that the "L" is gone which reflects my conclusions.

Thanks for the help guys
I don't want to go too DIY on this kinda thing. I'm looking for gains, but at the same time I want it to look nice .
And yea, the quieting down of the airbox from the AUT or snorkel is another thing I have to consider. One good thing about that though is that I can actually take advantage of improved gas mileage instead of wanting to stomp on the gas all the time for improved sound, haha.

What do you mean middle chamber theres only 2 chambers.
The snorkle goes to the left of the divider, not where the filter is.

And it looks like the L-shape tube directs air to the chamber that the filter locates.

If I do just the AUT plate w/o the snorkel will I still lose the sound gained from the gutted box/K&N/blocked resonator?
REALLY liking the sound of the car now and would love to add that plate to clean up the look of the engine bay ...
