Attn: Misguided Supercharger People
I just tuned a Vortech Supercharged S2000 on a Dynojet with an EMS with 550cc injectors and I didn't get as much power as I expected (280 rwhp, up from 269rwhp)... I wasn't running as much timing as I expected ethier to be honest, so that may explain some of it. My main question is that the map sensor only registered 6.6psi of boost at 9000 RPM, does that mean the belt is slipping, or is that to be expected with the Vortech Supercharger w/ Aftercooler?? From what I understood, the Vortech should be outputting around 8psi of boost at 9000 RPM, perhaps that is before the aftercooler?
If the belt is slipping, how would I know, and how do I repair it, or is that normal boost level for this unit??
Thanks guys
Chris
PS: I did show the customer a turbo vs supercharger dyno print out to rub it in..... There is a 100 hp difference, and 80 ft lbs difference in torque, heheheh. Just playin, you know I love em.......

Normal boost after the cooler is 7 psi (0.48 bar)
If the belt is slips you see a not very smooth powercurve with spikes. I try to find my dyno and post it later.
Here you are :

You made 322 with a Vortech with the stock pulley, eh? What did you have to do to get those numbers? Thanks for the help man, it looks like I am not far off. The power curve is very smooth, I am wondering about the calibration of the dyno, perhaps it is off??? I was expecting more like 300 rwhp, but it dynoed low to start with....
Thanks
Chris

Chris I am pretty sure that your dyno is not calibrated correctly. Every dyno I have seen of the Vortech has been in the high 290s to low 310s. 269 is way low on a dynojet. How old is the dynojet? Is it using Windows or Dos software? The old Dos based ones register 10-15 hp lower then the newer Windows versions.
