I had the HKS for a period of time. As I recall the noise was temperature related with the metallic sounds coming with cooler temps. Maybe this is a seasonal phenomena.

Ya I been having the same problem, when its cold it makes a
annoying rattling noise, and when I hit vtec I hear it too.
It really annoying, but it sounds like it comes from under my shift ,not from the back.

No buzzing problems of any kind with my HKS, just a wonderful howl.

This sound coming from the clutch is only there when you are decelerating on the engine (I don't know what's the real term for that in English).

So you can not hear this when you are just pushing the throttle declutched (stationary) or when accelerating, so I think it should be something else.
