Default ATS Clutch

I'll be putting my sleeved block in the car tomorrow, and I thought some of you might be interested in seeing what the ATS carbon clutch looks like. Here are some pictures. Note the flywheel looks like its rusting, but its not. The whole thing (flywheel, clutch and PP) weighs about 12 pounds.

that's definately going on my list of must have's.

I'm dying to find out how it feels and how well it works since that honda-tech post by that guy. Did you get a slave cylinder with it or no?

Yes, got the Nissan slave cylinder, throwout bearing and addapter kit. Total cost of $1510 including shipping from Japan. Took about three weeks. If memory serves me, I payed an additional $40 to have the flywheel surface carbon coated. This gives another 40 ft-lbs of torque handling.

If I pay $50, will it hold 50 ft. lbs more?

For the new slave cylinder, does it include a new hose/line or can you still use the OEM one? If the OEM one works, can you shoot me a PM with the part # on the slave cylinder? I would really like to have some reassurance while I use the clutch I have right now.

You use the stock hydraulic line. I'll scan the install directions this weekend and email them to you.

Correction to my ealier post. The slave cylinder is a Mitsubishi part. Part number is MD748617. If you order the clutch directly from ATS USA, it comes as part of the package. At least it did with my order.

Ya, but if I can goto the junkyard or ask a friend if they have it, it's close to free and immediate shipping

It comes off the new EVO's. Shouldn't be too hard to find. I see a lot of them crashed up and totalled by people who got it as their first car or first high HP car.
