Default Ap2 tranny in ap1 car

About a year ago my tranny went so I had a ap2 tranny put in with 990 miles on it in my 02 s2k. I also had a competition stage 2 clutch put in. I have had nothing but manual transmission cars and I know how to drive a stick. But this clutch has about 25000 miles on it and it was properly broken in and about a month ago it started to let go as soon as vtec hit. Now I cannot barley accelerate at all and the clutch slips even when I let off the gas like the engine falls to idle with me not even pushing the clutch in. Both the primary and secondary clutch hydrallic systems have been replaced and I'm buying a stock clutch today. My question is was there somthing I had to do with the clutch housing or somthing with the new tranny or did I just buy a crappy clutch? Any input would be much appriceated. I wrote this on my phone so please excuse any errors thank you - tommy

I've seen a few Competition Stage X clutches and haven't liked any of them for NA cars.

The clutches are interchageble. Did you change the slave cylinder to the ap2 version? That will cause the clutch to slip sometimes due to the slipper valve in the slave. If its a clutch you need I just developed own for my company Natural Aspirations were located in so cal in the city of torrance check out our parent co. web site www.dansautoshop.com. PM me for pics and info on the clutch kits.
