Default AP2 subframe conversion

i have decided to do this conversion on my MY00. i have already acquired the subframe and upper control arms, but i have just noticed that the rear knuckles from AP1 to AP2 have different part numbers. does anyone know the differences between the two? only the suffix has changed. will my MY00 knuckles work OK with this conversion? also, is there any other parts that i need to get for this conversion? thanks.

You're the first person I've heard of to go through this conversion. You may be breaking new ground. Others may learn from your experience.

I assume you are doing this to tame the ap1 rear? Is there any reason you decided to do this rather than other mods to tame the ap1 oversteer?

Cool. While you are at it, take a bit to look at the two JDM subframes and compare. There are a couple of simple bars that supposedly help the stiffness of the cage.

I'm doing this because I had an ap2 before my ap1 and I really liked the feeling of it. I have been wanting to do this since I got the car. And it'll also give me a chance to change out my gears... Finally.
also, I would do some mods to change the characteristics, but I believe in oem. Its reliable and I feel safer knowing its OE..
maybe I'll just start measuring my buddys ap2 and compare...

whats exactly is different in the ap2 assembly that makes it so much better?

ap1 has anti-lift rear supension. Ap2 has a more normal feel to it.. My personal preference would be for the ap2.. Also the ap2 has fixed the bump steer problem ap1s have..

not trying to jack your theard(though its old) BUT would it be stupid to still upgrade the rear suspenion after the AP2 subframe was put in? how much is the part and labor? and does this slove the bumpsteer problem for AP1's? or would i be better off just going aftermarket to take care of the stiffening of the rear on the AP1?
