It fits but the hangers dont line up exactly perfect (AP1 hangers have one end and the AP2 are Y'd. We have been running my AP2 exhaust on my freinds AP1 for about 6 months with no issues.

IMO it does not look that good though do to the holes being smaller and the oval tips look awkward with the AP1 rear.

i will be putting on AP2 exhaust on my 01 until i order my new exhaust. so i will have to modify the hangers, correct? does anyone have a picture of AP2 exhaust in stalled on AP1? i would like to see the hangers and how it would look.

CRXsir29- how loud is ur apexi exhaust? is it as ridiculously loud as invidia?

Funny you asked this, I wondered myself because I am looking into a new S2K and don't want to lose my Comptech! I'd like to shift it over but my concern was whether I could swap them or not. Other thing is I have no idea which version of the Comptech I have and if I can even put it on an 07

You won't have to modify the medal hangers on the car or the exhaust. If you get the rubber grommits that come with the AP2 exhaust, it should hang without any problems. The hangers furtherest to the rear on the AP2 exhaust have two metal prongs like was mentioned. AP1 has one. The hanger location for AP1 and AP2 on the car should be similar enough to not add additional problems.

What are the reasons one would swap ap1 exhaust for ap2 exhaust other then oval tips? Do they flow any better?

All you need is 2 AP2 rear rubber hangers. The exhaust fits perfect on my car. I think the car looks much better with the AP2 exhaust on.
