AP2 engine in AP1
Hey guys, haven't been on the forum in over a year! Nice to be around again.
Anywho my old turbo setup was starved of oil and I lost the engine (I have a MY 2000 by the way). I put in a F22C with 9000 miles in the car and it runs/drives just fine. I don't plan on going over 8500 rpm any time but was just wondering how I could set a rev limiter to ~8400 short of buying standalone management as the engine is stock now. I'd just like to keep on the safe side of things.
Thanks for the help!

You could look into a Bee-R Rev limiter, some people use them to shoot flames(as it cuts ignition)...however they're very handy as a simple wire-in rev limiter as well.

Yes, it would be a cheaper option...
However as you stated you Upgraded to an AP1 ECU in your AP2 and since you upgraded to an AP1 on purpose it obviously is a better ECU to use. The Bee-R would allow you to turn the limit on an AP1 ECU down to 8,000 to work in an AP2.
If he has an AP1 he's using that ECU in his car with the now F22 engine, and since it would be considered a downgrade to go to an AP2 ECU again the Bee-R limiter would work for this application.
Makes sense to me,
