ap2 cruise control issue

ap2 cruise control issue
picked up an 05 ap2 recently, been trying to track down a problem with the cruise control. I cleaned the steering wheel contacts, cleaned the engine bay grounds, and checked the plug. The switch led lights up when activated, but no dash light. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

the horn works, from what I read the cruise is on the same fuse as the horn and a few other accesories. The dash light doesn't come on and no cruise at all.
Update: I found a wiring diagram and traced all the connections and it appears to be the cruise module or the speedo signal to the cc box

did you ever fix this in the end?
i have the same issue where the light on the dash doesnt turn on and cc doesnt engage.
i tried cleaning the contacts, fuses, even opened the cc unit under the hood which looked fine.
you should check your "pedal stoppers" (i think they're called) to make sure they work ok so system doesnt think you are pressing the clutch or break because that would disengage the cc.
the last thing on my list was to just buy a new (and by new i mean used) cc unit and replace it.
found one for 45 bucks and will put it on this weekend hopefully it works.

Mine stopped working due to the switch stopper in the pedal coming out. There are two clutch pedal switches, one for the ignition (clutch interlock switch, part I on the diagram) and one for the CC and other functions (clutch pedal position switch, part B on the diagram).

i pretty much followed all the steps including replacing the cc unit under the hood and it didnt fix it.
i didnt know the clutch had two switches, i only checked the one for the start button. checking the other one is next on my list.
good luck!
