Wow I 'skip shift' all the time! Always have! Never would have thought in a million years it would be a bad thing lol! In fact I hardly ever use 5th gear lol! Whoops!

Hahaaa its fixed! However mine was resolved after simply driving the car in fifth taking it 7k for around 20 miles. On my return journey i just tried to pop it into 6th, slightly stiff but went in! , then i just repeated it many times and now its fine.
I did try the method stationery method but didnt work for me so i gave up. So if you have the same problem give this a try.

I had tried all the mentioned solutions. (Side Note, 7K in 5th gear had me doing around 110 mph). I did not change fluid which will be my next step. Any other suggestions before it gets operated on?
Thanks

Maybe it's just me but I find it extremely satisfying rowing through the gears and hearing my f 22 change pitch and continue pushing me through the digits. I skipped one gear and I missed the satisfaction. Glad this is a relatively easy fix.

It's not like "this is an easy fix so it's OK to do it" situation. Skipping gears is BAD. It creates burrs on the gear and this is what you are removing (the burrs)with the "fix".
Best practice is to not skip gears. You don't have to engage them, but you should row through them.
