If you buy it and part it out, I'd be interested in that driver side fender, door, and maybe headlight. What year is it?

More to the topic at hand, I agree $3000 is cheap. Especially if the frame isn't bent!

Oh, and sorry about your car, it's always sad to see one like that.

buy it back! just in parts alone you can make that back in a day. I have some stuff I could buy off you right off the bat.

I say buy it and look into rebuilding it. As valuable as the parts are to this community (and your bank account), I hate to see another s2k gone forever.

Buy it back, the drivers side head light will sell for $300 and you could sell every single part of the engine. You got the membership use it start posting in the for sale section.

Personally I would buy it back and keep it to use as a fun car or track car since the airbags are gone.
