Anyone have anything on how to properly remove throttle cable? Or any tips on how to remove rubber hoses in engine bay, they gave me hell when I cleaned the IACV.

Throttle Cable Removal

Here ya go. As for the hoses, a little bit of penetrate can go a long way. Just use one that is safe on rubbers. I think WD40 (correct my if I'm wrong) should be ok. To prevent them getting stuck again use a little grease before putting them back on.

Remove throttle cable?

Dude it's like you're going through everything that will NOT help your car.

I bet $5 it's either a valve, compression or ignition issue.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Adionik, i need to remove the throttle cable to be able to remove the TB for effective and safe cleaning. Id like to make sure this isnt a dirty throttle body before i start compression/leakdown testing. Im sure it probably needs a thorough cleaning anyways being that the car has 110k.

ok guys been forever. car still isnt 100%. tranny/diff fluid have been changed, spark plugs changed, pcv changed, iacv changed, MAP whacked/cleaned, front brakes changed(lol, long story). Car goes through fazes of running 90% to barely running at times. Lifes had me super busy but its time to buckle down and get this fixed. Whats my next step? Compression/leakdown test right?

Did you ever have a valve adjustment done? Seems like you've tried everything except that.
