^I agree, but I think part of his original coil is still lodged in the spark plug tube. I think that would probably require some pretty trained/experienced hands and a scribe/hook to remove.
240sx KA engines with shitty plug wires would frequently leave a rubber boot over the spark plug which is buried down in the head just like The F2x. I have spent a couple hours fishing those suckers out and it isn't fun.

thing is Im not paying for anything ![biggrin.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Warranty is paying all that..
so AP2 coils will fit without problems on my AP1? and AP2 coils are the same as CRV Coils? I still have time to keep the CRV ones.. and my coil didnt failed.. my spark plug tread did.. therefor everything in that hole got messed up

Yes, CRV coils are the exact same thing as 2004-2005 AP2 coils. 2006+ AP2 coils are different because of Drive-By-Wire. 2004-2005 AP2 coils fit on the AP1 exactly the same as stock AP1 coils. Same plug, same size coil, same bolt hole, etc. Externally, they are identical as far as I could tell. Personally, I would opt for the CRV coils because I had a stock coil fail on my AP1. Just because one coil failed doesn't mean they are all doomed, but all the searching I did indicated that the AP2 coils never fail. I replaced all the coils with the AP2 coils and I have my stock AP1 coils as backups.
I would make sure they are OEM Honda CRV coils and not some off brand.
The best way to find interchangeable parts is by comparing part numbers from the manufacturer.

Yea, I think they are, as well as the accord. If you google the part number, it comes up with tons of applications. It is basically the generic Honda coil. From a business perspective, it is much cheaper to just build one type of coil that will work in all applications.
