Default AP1 Oil banjo bolts

So I have a 2001 AP1, have a track day coming up figured its a good time to upgrade the oil banjo bolts to the 4 hole design. Drain, wait, drop pan..take out one of the easy one just to see, well turns out I already had the 4 hole ones...fuuu, but at the same time lucky I didnt have to do cylinder 1. I guess one of the previous owners must have done it, having history would have been helpful. Just waiting for Honda Bond to cure now, what a pain for an oil change though.

Is it necessary to upgrade them? I only drive my car maybe 150mi in a month, with a few vtec pulls here and there. No tracking etc.

Did mine a few months ago just to do it. I don't drive the car hard but I did it anyway. I also replaced the retainers with AP2 retainers even though my AP1 retainers were all perfect my 00 is up to date

No. Only necessary to protect during extended periods of vtec usage (hours).
