All LHD S2000 ECUs are on drivers (left) side.

00-01 obd2 connector is on pass (right) side.
02-05 obd2 connector is on drivers side, points directly left
06-09 obd2 connector is on drivers side, points front and down diagonally

VEHICLE VIN number is on the back of the CYLINDER HEAD on a long green tag. Trans also carries the VEHICLE VIN. If the tag is there, you can easily determine if the CYL HEAD is ap1 or ap2. Either head is fine in your ap1 car. But if the camshafts are ap2 in an ap1 engine, it will change the power curve. Mixing CAMS is something Ive always wanted to try.

ENGINE SERIAL is on left front of block, near the coolant bleed valve. It will clearly determine the short block configuration, 2.0 or 2.2L.

F22 is a better built motor anyway. If I were you Id be praying for one myself. More output per rpm and can take more of a beating. Just as well suited for 9k rpm. Personally I will never go back to an F20 in this car.

You didn't notice any of what you mention during the test drive?

Na I didn't actually. I never really rev it that high. I checked everything else but that. Smh. That was on me. It's been sooooooo long since I had my other one, I was too excited and it slipped my mind about the 9k part just being honest. But everything else is immaculate. Lol

....why do ppl say this, dumb as the day is long junk , when they have no clue what the hell they are talking about ...international motor of the year , the fastest piston speed for over ten yrs ...till the 458 took that crown ...not to mention last but not least 120 per liter ..no f22 in the world can claim any of this ...btw Ive owned an F20 for over 8yrs ...drive the hell out of it , hit 9k almost everyday and yet to have anything go wrong ...some ppl need and education like you my friend

I have no clue? Wow you just stepped in some Shit. Sorry I didn’t mean to hurt your pride or something. That’s great you have had an f20 and take it to 9k, so does everyone else who owns one Ive had both the f20 and f22 in my car NA and Boosted both of them, so I know their own attributes pretty damn well. The differences between the two which apparently you dont understand is the F22 makes more power per rpm and has very much the same rev range as the F20 given proper tuning. The F22 has some equipment improvements made as well, like the the valve keepers and retainers, as well as longer more supportive Valve guides, all which equate to better longevity, less oil consuption and withstanding even higher rpm over the f20 valvtrain, with more over rev protection as a result. The f22 has an arguably better piston design and of course the better oil distributing banjo oil squirters that come after mid 02. I think you are far to hung up on nonsensical thoughts on the matter. Get over it and pick up a f22 and rev it to 9k.

If you want further "education" from me, i'm going to have start charging you.
