Default AP1 flywheel resurfacing

So I took an AP1 flywheel to NAPA for resurfacing and they call me a few hours later saying they can't get the dowel pins out and can't do the service.

Spend the next few days calling all the machine shops on Google within 50 mile radius and none of them do resurfacing(living in small town does suck )

One other shop took a look at it and said it wasn't bad and they can just "buff" it out but that is not very accurate and the surface could be uneven(done by hand-no strict measuring)

How the hell do I get the dowel pins out??? Is it feasible to ship this POS to someone that's more capable? Any recommendations on who may be able to do this??

Any GOOD machine shop will have a collet hammer. It has adapters made for each specific size dowel pin, it clamps on to them and slide hammers them out with no damage at all.

Damn. I hope it all works out for you.

I know the struggle of living in a small town (~30K people here, next nearest cities are both an hour drive away in opposite directions). NAPA luckily did an excellent job of resurfacing my flywheel though when I was doing my clutch job.
