^drain tranny, drain the tranny.
common sense.
drain the tranny oil before you drop it so you don't leak oil all over your driveway through the tranny's asshole.

I've helped my dad with quite a few clutch jobs on our trucks, I just didn't know if it was much more difficult on the S since it was so easy with the trucks we didn't even have to use jacks except to lower the tranny. But you've answered my Q, I was actually wondering if it was worth it to just change the flywheel if my clutch doesn't need to be replaced, thanks for your input.

You can remove a S2k's trans without draining the fluid. It won't leak, even if you turn the trans upside down.
Didn't know that..
That's quite neat, the 240sx trannies I've messed with all had to be stood driveshaft input side up, since it would leak.
